Mon 22nd July 2019| Tamworth lamb record smashed

Despite being in the grip of one of the worst droughts on record, the Wiseman family still managed to produce arguably some of the best lambs ever sold through Tamworth, smashing a local record set in September last year and coming within 20c of the then  national record.

Selling agent, Scott Newberry of Davidson Cameron, says it was an outstanding result for the extra heavy crossbred lambs, in a very difficult season.

“ Normally these Aug/Sept drop lambs would be in the paddock but, because of the drought, they've been on the grain tray since April,  “ he said adding that it’s a credit to the vendors to get them to the outstanding weight and condition under trying circumstances.

Congratulations to these vendors who have sold lambs through Tamworth agents for $300 or more
